MPS7000

What's the difference between logging in as an Engineer vs. a techincian?

There are two ways to log into a machine: as a technician or as an engineer. The difference is in the level of access assigned to these two user profiles.

Technicians will have access to load or save existing recipes and change machine configuration and operating parameter. 

Engineers will have full access to machine configuration and parameters.

How can I change a sealing parameter?

To change a machine parameter on your Emplex machine, simply edit the Set Value of the respective parameter on the parameter screen.

Why are concentric circles appearing on the HMI screen?

If you are experiencing issues with the HMI screen on your machine or are seeing concentric circles appear on the HMI screen, you may need to calibrate the HMI screen to restore correct function.  To learn more about calibrating the HMI screen read the article linked below.

How do I control speed of my machine?

On your Emplex machine you can manage the speed settings by logging on as a technician or engineer and naviagting to the staus screen. There you can modify the machine parameters including speed.

Why is my machine showing negative temperature?

If the status screen on your machine is showing a negative temperature this could be a problem with the thermocouple wires in the PLC.

Why are my seal bars not heating up?

If the seal bars are not heating up there could be a problem with the electrical connections to the sealing section.

Why are my sealers and conveyor running in different directions?

If the seal direction and the conveyor on your system are running in opposite directions, you may need to rearrange the wiring on the speed control board. For more information on correcting this problem read our articles.

Why do my packages keep dropping from the rails?

If your packages are dropping from the infeed rails before reaching the end of the rail your machine may not be carrying the weight of your package. This can be corrected by adjusting the bridge mounting screws. For ste-by-step instructions on how to correct this problem read the article linked below.

My machine won't run longer than 10s and I am getting motor failure error.

If your machine is not running at your set speed this may cause the machine to shut-off and you may see a motor failure error. To correct this problem read the following article:

Why is my machine making excessive noise?

If you are hearing unusual or excessive noise coming from your sealer or your conveyor the cause may be your motor. It is common for a DC motor to make noise when the motor is new or too old.

Can I connect nitrogen to my MPS7503 or MPS7103?

Yes- our MPS7503 & MPS7103 systems are often used for nitrogen flushing to lock in freshness. Connecting a nitrogen tank to your machine is very simple.
